The GLIDERIDE shoe helps you run longer while expending less energy.
GUIDESOLE technology in the sole is the key function in the GLIDERIDE shoe. Improved cushioning which is a result of FLYTEFOAM technology and GEL technology cushioning helps reduce the load on the foot.
The stiff forefoot and dynamically curved sole increase running efficiency by reducing the movement of the ankle joint. A lower degree of ankle flexion means other muscles, like the calves, don't have to work as hard. The shoe's center of mass is closer to the heel, so it's easier to swing the foot forward.
The rolling motion you feel in this shoe actually propels the foot forward for increased efficiency by reducing the forward movement of the ankle. This lets you run farther with less effort.
The GLIDERIDE shoe with GUIDESOLE technology lets you conserve energy for efficient runs.
Foot typeHigh arches
Push OffThe pressure is on smaller toes on outside of foot.
How your foot contacts the groundThe outer side of the heel hits the ground at an increased angle with little or no normal pronation, causing a large transmission of shock through the lower leg.
Foot typeNormal size arches
Push OffThere is even distribution from the front of the foot.
How your foot contacts the groundThe foot lands on outside of the heel, then rolls inward (pronates) to absorb shock and support body weight.
FLYTEFOAM technology provides exceptional bounce back and responsiveness no matter the distance, utilizing organic super fibers to help reduce packing out that traditionally happens with softer, low density foams.
FLYTEFOAM PROPEL TECHNOLOGY
ASICS energetic foam formulation that provides supreme bounce thanks to a unique elastomer compound.
GEL Cushioning System
Provides excellent shock absorption
Acronym for ASICS High Abrasion Rubber. Placed in critical areas of the outsole for exceptional durability.
GUIDANCE TRUSSTIC SYSTEM TECHNOLOGY
This GUIDANCE TRUSSTIC SYSTEM TECHNOLOGY integrates Guidance Line construction for enhanced gait efficiency while providing midfoot structural integrity.
This lasting material features plush underfoot comfort while providing excellent moisture management and a high level of breathability (Ortholite is a registered trademark of ATP Manufacturing LLC.)
The curved sole design and stiff forefoot of our GUIDESOLE technology reduce ankle flexion and provide a shock-absorbent landing zone to lessen fatigue of other leg muscles and increase runner efficiency.
