Product Details

The GLIDERIDE Tokyo shoe lets you run longer while expending less energy. Featuring a limited model offering, this iteration is displayed with a Sunrise Red colorway to symbolize and celebrate the city of Tokyo and the country of Japan.

GUIDESOLE technology in the sole is a key function for this shoe, helping to improve cushioning and reduce the overall load on the foot - a result of FLYTEFOAM technology and GEL technology cushioning.

Equipped with a stiff forefoot and strategically curved sole increase running efficiency by reducing the movement of the ankle joint. A lower degree of ankle flexion means other muscles, like the calves don’t have to work as hard. The shoe’s center of mass is closer to the heel, so it’s easier to swing the foot forward.

The rolling motion you feel in this shoe actually propels the foot forward for increased efficiency by reducing the forward movement of the ankle. This helps you run further with less effort.

The GLIDERIDE Tokyo shoe with GUIDESOLE technology lets you conserve energy for efficient runs.

Pronation

Pronation is part of the natural movement of the human body and refers to the way your foot rolls inward for impact distribution upon landing. Understanding your pronation type can help you find a comfortable running shoe. The GlideRide TOKYO is made for Neutral and Underpronation.

  • Neutral
  • Over

Underpronation

  • Foot type

    High arches
  • Push Off

The pressure is on smaller toes on outside of foot.
  • How your foot contacts the ground

The outer side of the heel hits the ground at an increased angle with little or no normal pronation, causing a large transmission of shock through the lower leg.

Neutral

  • Foot type

    Normal size arches
  • Push Off

There is even distribution from the front of the foot.
  • How your foot contacts the ground

The foot lands on outside of the heel, then rolls inward (pronates) to absorb shock and support body weight.

Product Features

FLYTEFOAM
FLYTEFOAM technology provides exceptional bounce back and responsiveness no matter the distance, utilizing organic super fibers to help reduce packing out that traditionally happens with softer, low density foams.

GEL Cushioning System
Provides excellent shock absorption

GUIDESOLE TECHNOLOGY
The curved sole design and stiff forefoot of our GUIDESOLE technology reduce ankle flexion and provide a shock-absorbent landing zone to lessen fatigue of other leg muscles and increase runner efficiency.
